Carroll County Housing Authority (CCHA) has officially reached its year anniversary on Facebook! We have enjoyed utilizing our Facebook page to connect with tenants, relatives and friends of tenants, as well as, the general public throughout this past year. Facebook has provided us the opportunity to share CCHA projects and renovations, weekly Wednesday Wisdom, tenant holiday, back-to-school and birthday celebrations pictures, recipes, and much, much more. In addition, it has successfully allowed us to bring awareness to the general public as to our CCHA facilities, program, and sense of community that we have to offer. During the month of December 2020 we had reached over 8,500 people with our Facebook posts, and to date, we have 415 page followers.

You can assist us in our efforts on making our CCHA Facebook page a continued success by following us @CCHASavannaIL and sharing it with all of your connections. We will continue to utilize this page as a central location for sharing of our events, photos, memories, and general information. If you have news or photos you would like us to consider sharing on Facebook, please send it to maddie@fourgesocial.com.

With the new year upon us, the Annual Lease Re-examinations will be fast approaching in February. In the meantime, if you receive a letter from the SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION indicating your income for 2021, please bring it to the CCHA office and we will make a copy for your file. Also, you should receive a letter the first week in January from our office regarding the required information needed to complete your re-examination. If you do not receive the letter by January 11, 2021, please call our CCHA office immediately. In addition, please either call or stop by the CCHA office to schedule your re-examination appointment. Please be sure that all applicable forms are completed PRIOR to your appointment. It is especially important that the “Banking Verification” form be taken to your banking institution a few weeks prior to your   appointment to be completed, as a few local banks have to forward the paperwork to their office headquarters, which are in a different state, to be completed. As an important reminder, ALL RE-EXAMINTIONS MUST BE COMPLETED AND FORWARDED TO THE CHICAGO HUD OFFICE BY FEBRUARY 26, 2021.  Thus, if your re-examination is NOT completed by this date your Lease WILL NOT BE RENEWED.
