The 2020 school year is fast approaching, as the first day of student attendance for the West Carroll School District is Wednesday, August 19, 2020.  To help the children kick off another fantastic school year, the Carroll County Housing Authority will be distributing Back-to-School Sub Sandwiches & School Supplies. All Carroll Apartments tenants are invited. We hope to see you there!

       LOCATION: Carroll Apartments (2nd Parking Lot by Maintenance Shop)

       MENU: Sub Sandwiches, Chips, Cookies & Popsicles (Served in To-Go Containers)

NOTE: CCHA will be distributing School Supplies to all of our Carroll Apartments school-aged children. We will have several tables set up to distribute the food and school supplies so we are able to abide by the CDC social distancing guidelines. Thus, keeping a safe space between yourself and other people who are not in your household. In addition, we also ask that everyone in attendance please wear a face mask.

As we enter into the heat of summer, the Carroll County Housing Authority staff has been busy finalizing the details of several Capital Projects for our Mest Manor and Carroll Apartments sites.

We are happy to announce that we have contracted with Floor to Ceiling Company to install new flooring in the following areas at Mest Manor: Dining room, laundry room, elevator, office entryway, and the lobby of the office area. This project will begin on Wednesday, July 15th through Friday, July 17th. The second phase of this project will include new carpet tiles being installed in the 1st floor hallway at Mest Manor. This project is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd through Friday, July 24th. We ask that you avoid these areas during these dates so that the contractors can complete the projects in the time allotted.

We will also be expanding the laundry room, installing new mailboxes for all the tenants and installing a new 42 inch glass door for the rear entrance at Mest Manor. These additional projects will be completed over the next few months.

As for Carroll Apartments, we are completing the engineering plans to install new downspout drainage, and new backyard patios at apartments 9-12 and 13-16. This will be Phase I of a four phase renovation for both front and rear patios and new sidewalks throughout the entire site.
