Tenant Holiday Dinner

Please join us for our Annual Tenant Holiday Dinner. This years event will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Manny’s Pizza (located at 211 Main St., Savanna, IL). All tenants are welcome to come and enjoy a complimentary dinner and to celebrate the 2018 Holiday Season. We hope to see all of you there, as this is the perfect time to put on your party attire, come socialize with all of your fellow tenants, and get into the holiday spirit.

Menu: Tacos, Pizza & Assorted Desserts will be Served

Entertainment: Swany Connection (6:45 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)

Following the entertainment, SANTA will make a special appearance to greet each of the children that are in attendance at the Holiday Dinner with a GIFT.   A drawing for DOOR PRIZES will be held at the conclusion of the evening.

Please R.S.V.P. to the CCHA office by Friday, December 7, 2018. Again, we welcome and encourage all tenants to join us for an evening of holiday celebration.

NOTE: Complimentary transportation will be available upon request.

ElkayCares Annual Bringing Holiday Cheer

Elkay Manufacturing of Savanna will be visiting our Mest Manor & Maple Lane tenants on Friday, December 14, 2018, beginning at 12:30PM. Elkay team members will be graciously delivering homemade goodies to all of the apartments at both locations.

Following the cookie deliveries, the ELKAY team members will be spending the afternoon playing Bingo with our Carroll County Housing Authority tenants at the Mest Manor Dining Room. All Maple Lane & Mest Manor residents are welcome to come join in for a fun-filled afternoon.

Elkay Manufacturing believes in serving the community. The ELKAYcares volunteerism   program allows team members to participate in a variety of activities during the work time, in the spirit of serving. We look forward to seeing you!

Looking for the Funny Side: The Value of Humor

The University of Illinois Extension office will be offering a complimentary healthy living program exclusively for our Carroll County Housing Authority residents. Please join University of Illinois Educator, Karla Belzer, for an open discussion about “Looking for the Funny Side: The Value of Humor.”

LOCATION:   Mest Manor Dining Room (525 Third Street)

When was the last time you laughed really hard—a hearty sidesplitting belly laugh? Humor can be good for you. Bringing humor into your life can provide both physical and psychological benefits. Do you look for humor in your everyday life? You don’t have to be a comedian to have a sense of humor This program will help participants look at ways humor can help them deal with stress and change in their lives. Benefits of humor will be identified.
