As the flu season begins, it’s important to get your annual flu shot.  These clinics are for adults only.  For their own safety, children should only be immunized at their regular healthcare provider’s office.

The Freeport Health Network (FHN) will be offering a flu shot clinic at our host site of Mest Manor as follows:    

 Date:  Thursday, October 12th 

 Time:   1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Medical cards and photo IDs will be requested)

 Location:  Mest Manor Dining Room (525 Third Street)

 Cost:  High Dose will be $70.00 for individuals over 65 if not covered by Medicare Part B, or a Medicare Replacement Plan accepted by FHN.  Persons under 65 will be given the Quadrivalent vaccine with an out-of-pocket cost of $32.00. 

Immunizations may be paid for by cash or check payable to FHN, and you can use your receipt for reimbursement from your health insurance carrier. 

If you are covered by Medicare Part B or a Medicare HMO accepted by FHN, there will be no out-of-pocket charge (MUST present Medicare HMO card and photo ID.)

In addition, Jo-Carroll Energy/Sand Prairie offers a benefit option that can provide assistance to you with your broadband bill. This benefit is a temporary program and could pay for up to $30 a month against your broadband services, until funds are exhausted.
